Manage Allowed Addresses

To be able to send SMS messages from your email address, it needs to be added as an 'Allowed Address'. You can mange allowed addresses here:

Sending an SMS using an Email

Simply send an email to:

XXXXXXXXXX@sms.online-send.com

(Where XXXXXXXXXX is the mobile number e.g. 0411111111@sms.online-send.com)

Enter the message in the subject or body of the email. You can send multiple messages, just enter multiple To addresses in your email.

SMS to Contact Groups

You can send an email to be converted to an SMS to a group of contacts. Simply follow the steps:

1 . Add a contact list using the Contacts menu.

2 . Add contacts to the list.

3 . Click the 'Group SMS' button and Copy the 'group email-to-SMS address' or click 'Download vCard'.

4 . Create a new email and paste the email address into the To field or import the vCard into your email software (e.g. Mirosoft Outlook).

5 . Send an email with the message in the subject or body of the email.

6 . You're done! An SMS will be sent to everyone in the contact list.

Optional: You can use placeholders when composing the email.

The following placeholders are allowed: (First Name), (Last Name), (Custom 1), (Custom 2), (Custom 3), (Custom 4).

For example, if you wanted to send a personalised message, you could use "Hi (First Name). Your order...". The placeholders will be replaced with the contacts details when sending the SMS.

Note: The maximum number of recipients in each group is limited to 200. Please contact us if you would like this increased.

Replies

By default, replies will be emailed back to the original user who sent the email-to-SMS.


This can be changed in the settings area.

Authenticated Email-to-SMS

You can send emails from any email address with this method.

Simply send an email

To: XXXXXXXXXX@sms.online-send.com

(Where XXXXXXXXXX is the mobile number e.g. 0411111111@sms.online-send.com)

Email Subject: auth~{Username}~{API-Key}~{Subject}~{From}

For example: auth~testaccount~ALDK-3DFDF-DFDSFSDF~Test Subject~MyCompany

where:

  • 'Username' and 'API-Key' can be found here:
  • 'Subject' is the email subject (optional)
  • 'From' is the from number/name or Sender ID (optional)

Enter the message in the body of the email.

You can send multiple messages, just enter multiple To addresses in your email.
